there is no need for true knowledge or genuine opinions (i.e. based on facts and research) anymore. all we need is to appear to have knowledge and opinions, because our entire online existence is based on what we appear to be. this i think will be the end of future generations. because they do not achieve or produce in reality, they only achieve and produce in surface images… or, if i can quote correctly from memory, as brett easton ellis wrote in “glamorama”: we slip down the surface of things…
i also read that the apple brand has now a higher value than the nation of greece. the iphone has beaten the birthplace of democracy. i think there is a message telling us what we have become.
